What Time Should I Arrive

At least 20 minutes before your scheduled tour. Tours leave promptly and you do not want to be late. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking, use the restroom and mosey on down to the river.

What If I Am Late

If you are late you can try to find the tour. If you stop by the Black Cat Shoppe at 8 Market Street in historic Wilmington (or call 910-772-1410), the staff may be able to point you in the right direction. They often know the first stop for each guide. But since we don't have fixed routes, and with over 20 locations to pick from (of which we do 5 stops a night), if you are more than 10 minutes late you will have to wander town trying to locate the tour

Do I Need To Be Able To Print My Online Tickets
No. All Guides will have an Online Ticket Sale Guest List. Just give us the name you used to purchase your tickets.

Can A Designated Driver Under 21 Attend The Pub Crawl

It's complicated. While we don't want anyone drinking and driving (you can guarantee there will be at least one checkpoint downtown), North Carolina law prohibits anyone under 21 from entering an establishment that serves liquor. However you can have your under 21 DH attend the 8:30 Ghost Walk and meet up with you after the tour. Both tours end around the same time.Of course you can also have a DH who is 21 or older. Either way, as they say, you must be 21 or older to touch this booty.

Then How Do I Get To and From The Haunted Pub Crawl

It's pretty easy. Here are a few suggestions.

  1. Have a Designated Driver do the Ghost Walk and then meet up with you at the end of the tour
  2. Stay downtown. Visit for a list of hotels & B&B's
  3. Get an UBER at
  4. Take a taxi

What Is Your Refund/Exchange Policy

All refund or ticket exchange requests will be granted provided that the request is made more than 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour.  

For Etix (an online ticket provider not a part of our tour), please email or call Etix directly. Contact information can be found in your original confirmation email or at

For Black Cat Shoppe tickets (8 Market Street, historic Wilmington), please visit the store in person, with both your intact tickets AND store receipt. Refunds and/or exchange requests will NOT be issued over the phone. Refunds will be issued by the same means used to purchase tickets.

Are Tours Rain Or Shine

Yes. We never cancel a tour due to rain, no matter how heavy or wet it is.Umbrella's, ponchos or any other rain deflection gear is welcome on the tour. 

What If There's A Severe Storm

Most thunderstorms begin to breakdown as they approach Wilmington due to the gulf stream. So it's pretty rare we have to cancel a tour due to severe weather. However, if conditions are deemed unsafe by the guide (lightning, hail or hurricane), we will cancel a tour and issue refunds. If a tour is in progress and severe weather hits, we will seek shelter and complete the tour from a safe location. 

Can I Bring My Dog

Yes, but there are a few rules.

  1. You are responsible for your dog's conduct and behavior
  2. Your dog must be on a leash and restrained the entire tour
  3. If your dog becomes disruptive then you must step away from the tour to avoid disruption
  4. If any other guest has a fear of dogs or is uncomfortable with your dog for any reason, you will not be able to attend
  5. If your dog is a cat, snake, pig, tiger, tiger shark or anything other than a canine, you cannot bring it on the tour.
